Episode 8 escalates the tension as Sung Jin-Woo takes on a critical dungeon raid that puts his new abilities to the test. With his shadow army at full strength, Jin-Woo clears waves of monsters effortlessly, demonstrating that he is now far beyond even the top S-rank Hunters in raw power and strategy.
During the raid, Jin-Woo pushes Igris and his other shadows to fight independently, testing their growth and coordination. He also unlocks new insights into the System’s hidden mechanics, realizing that his journey is part of something much larger and possibly connected to the origin of the Gates themselves.
Meanwhile, the S-rank Gate crisis intensifies, with the Association preparing for a large-scale raid to prevent a catastrophic monster break. Guilds once again try to recruit Jin-Woo for this mission, but he remains focused on his own objectives. The episode closes with Jin-Woo sensing that a new, powerful enemy is on the horizon.
