Episode 9 focuses on Sung Jin-Woo mastering his new Shadow Extraction skill. After discovering he can resurrect slain monsters as loyal shadow soldiers, he experiments with his first summon—Kaisel, a shadow steed created from the Red Knight Commander. This newfound power significantly boosts his combat ability and mobility.
Meanwhile, Jin-Woo and Yoo Jin-Ho continue their dungeon raids to fulfill the 19-dungeon quota for Jin-Ho’s guild application. Their efficiency and success draw even more attention from other Hunters and the Association, as rumors about an unknown powerhouse start spreading.
During one raid, Jin-Woo pushes his limits again, summoning multiple shadow soldiers for the first time, and realizes that his power is evolving at an exponential rate. The episode ends with Jin-Woo setting his sights on higher-ranked dungeons, aware that his strength is now far beyond the E-rank label assigned to him.
